Agreement to these terms
By downloading, installing, or using Yori ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
These terms apply to the Yori Android application available on Google Play. Our contact is yoriapp@pm.me.
Who Yori is for
Yori is intended for use by adults aged 18 and over. By using the app, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
Yori is designed to help men understand and support people who menstruate — partners, daughters, sisters, and others in their lives. It is an education and wellness tool. It is not a medical device.
Permitted use onlyYori must only be used to understand and support the people in your life, with their wellbeing in mind. Using Yori to pressure, manipulate, time, or monitor anyone is a violation of these terms and contrary to the entire purpose of the app.
Not a medical device
Important — please readYori is a wellness and education application. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All content — including phase descriptions, health condition guides, and AI-generated insights — is general educational information only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice.
Cycle phase predictions are estimates based on statistical averages and logged data. They are not medically accurate measurements of any individual's cycle.
Yori must never be used as a contraceptive tool. Phase predictions cannot reliably identify fertile windows. Do not rely on Yori to prevent or achieve pregnancy. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for contraceptive advice.
AI-generated content
Yori's personalised daily insights are generated using artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude model). These insights are provided for general wellness and educational purposes only.
AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate or not appropriate for a specific individual's situation. You should use your own judgment and not rely solely on AI insights for important decisions.
Consent and the person you're supporting
Yori is designed to be used openly. We strongly encourage you to tell the person you are supporting that you use Yori. Most people react positively.
By using Yori, you agree that you will:
- Use the app with genuine care and respect for the person you are supporting
- Not use Yori to pressure, manipulate, time, or monitor anyone
- Not share another person's cycle or health information with third parties without their explicit consent
Yori is designed to work with openness, not instead of it. The best version of this app is one the person you're supporting knows about.
Premium features and subscriptions
Yori offers free and premium tiers. Premium features are available via in-app purchase through Google Play:
- Monthly subscription — renews automatically each month
- Annual subscription — renews automatically each year
- Lifetime access — one-time purchase, access for the lifetime of the app
- Support purchase — one-time, no additional features
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time through your Google Play account settings.
Lifetime access grants access to premium features for as long as the Yori app continues to operate. If the app is discontinued, lifetime access cannot be refunded. We will provide reasonable notice before any discontinuation.
All purchases are subject to Google Play's terms and refund policies.
Data and privacy
Your use of Yori is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.
Intellectual property
All content in Yori — including text, phase descriptions, health condition guides, design, and code — is owned by or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the app without our written permission.
Personal data you enter into the app belongs to you. We make no claim over your personal data.
Prohibited uses
- Pressure, coerce, manipulate, or monitor anyone
- Make medical decisions without consulting a qualified healthcare professional
- Use as a contraceptive tool or fertility tracking device
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the app's source code
- Attempt to circumvent security features, paywalls, or PIN protection
- Use the app in any way that violates applicable law
Disclaimer of warranties
Yori is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific feature will remain available.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Yori, including reliance on cycle predictions or AI-generated content.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we will update the date above and display an in-app notice on the next launch. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
